The house on Xavier street was built back in the 1970’s. While the structure of the house was in great shape the interior and exterior finishes needed an update.

Exterior & Landscaping
The exterior of this property was in pretty good shape. It just needed a light refresh with a new front door, windows, trim, paint and some light landscaping.
Front Room Transformation
When walking through the front door, you enter into a very spacious front room. To increase the living space in the house we decided to convert one of the 3 bedrooms into additional communal space. To keep flexibility for the space, the entrance was sized for standard french doors that could be added in the future to separate the space again. New flooring, crown molding, and casements were installed throughout the house to add additional character.
Kitchen & Laundry Transformation
The back half of the living space contained the kitchen and laundry space. TO properly renovate this space, we stripped out all the old cabinets and appliances. While the layout stayed pretty close to the original , using updated materials such as soapstone counters, stainless appliances and custom wood shelving provided character in the space. A couple additional custom features were a custom barn door to separate the laundry area. a built in table that was constructed from the original flooring and an added butler’s pantry added to the laundry space.
Bathroom & Bedroom Transformation
On the right side of the house was the bathroom and the 2 additional bedrooms. In the bathroom, we were able to salvage the tub and shower tile but needed to update everything else. The bedrooms were in pretty good shape needing only paint, flooring and new doors.
